How to Go From 0 to $5K With YouTube Automation [Part 1]
How to pick a niche
alright, today we're covering the most important part of youtube automation
picking the right niche
this is literally where 99% of people fail
and if you get this wrong, nothing else matters
you could have the best editing, the best scripts, and the best thumbnails
but if you're in a dead niche with no demand, you'll be stuck at 50 views per video
so let's break down exactly how to find a profitable niche
step 1: open a fresh youtube tab
go to youtube on an account that has never watched anything before
this is important because you want to see what youtube recommends without any bias
scroll down to the bottom until youtube stops recommending videos
step 2: look for channels that fit these criteria
here's what you're looking for:
below 100K subs you want small channels you can actually compete with
consistent viral videos they should be averaging 20K-200K+ views per video
monetized make sure they're in the youtube partner program
recreatable you need to be able to make similar content without spending thousands per video
the key here is finding small channels going viral
because that tells you there's demand but not enough supply
and whenever there's a gap like that on youtube, that means money
step 3: filter by subscriber vs view count
you'll want to find channels with low sub counts but crazy views
like 20K subs but 900K views
that's what you're looking for
(if you have the nextlev extension (promo code: howtoai2)
this makes filtering way faster,
but it's totally optional.
you can do all of this manually by just scrolling through)
step 4: analyze the channel
let's say you find a space channel with 30K subs averaging 100K views per video
making 3-4 hour long videos with just stock footage, AI voiceover, and AI scripts
they're earning $30K+ per month
that's perfect
step 5: prepare a niche sheet
don't just find one niche
you want to find at least 10 niches and compare them
make a sheet with:
channel name
channel link
subs
average views
if they're active
if it's recreatable
step 6: do competitor research
this is crucial
you need to see if there are other channels in your niche getting results
or if everyone's stuck at 100 views per video (red flag)
find 10 competitors and track:
subs
average views
highest views
if they're active
if you see a bunch of recent channels all stuck at low views, that means people are trying to get in but nobody's succeeding
your chances of success = very low
but if you see multiple channels crushing it, that's a green light
how to find competitors the free way:
go to your reference channel's most popular video
copy the title
paste it in youtube search
you'll see a bunch of similar channels pop up
analyze them and add them to your competitor sheet
and that’s it…
I know this may take some time to do…
but it's literally the foundation of everything
get this right and you're 90% of the way there
tomorrow I'mma show you how to know what goes viral before you even post
so you're not just guessing with topics
