I wish I knew this when I started YouTube
Here's how you can do it, in less than 180 days...
RPM might be the easiest way to make more money on YouTube right now
but a lot of people don’t know that, and it pisses me off every time I see it…
a creator might get 1mil+ views on a video but only make 5K/mo
and I get it, that’s great and might seem a lot for some people
but another creator with a higher RPM might get same views and make $10K-20k/mo
while it’s good to go VIRAL,
It’s not really the views that matter
it's where those views come from
you see, youtube doesn't pay you just for views
they pay you for showing ads to people who buy stuff
so if your audience is broke, you're broke
doesn't matter if you get 100k views or a million
a viewer from Switzerland is worth more than a viewer from Bangladesh
why?
because advertisers know someone in Switzerland has money to spend
someone in Bangladesh probably doesn't
so they bid accordingly
high-income country = advertisers fight over that viewer = you get paid
low-income country = nobody wants to advertise = you get pennies
but most creators attract audiences from the wrong countries
and by wrong, I don’t mean anything bad about these countries, it’s just that their buying power is low compared to other countries like the USA or the UK…
it's not fair but it's how the system works
so what do you actually do about this?
first: realize that english isn't enough
half the world speaks english
but only 5-6 countries actually pay well
USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Netherlands
that's it.
that's the list you should target
second: make content that rich people search for
productivity apps = rich people
bollywood gossip = not rich people
investing tips = rich people
mobile games = not rich people
AI tools = rich people
celebrity drama = not rich people
your topic literally filters your audience by income level
third: look at your fucking analytics
Go to YouTube Studio then Analytics then click on Geography
if USA isn't in your top 3, you have a problem
if India is #1, you're basically working for free
harsh but true
i've seen channels completely transform their income just by shifting topics
they put the same effort as before, with the same uploading schedule
yet now they’re making 20x than before
just because they're targeting a country with HIGHER buying power like the USA
so stop chasing views from people who can't afford anything
and start creating for audiences that advertisers actually want
that's how you go from $1000/month to $10,000/month
without getting a single a lot more views
